Comedy movies are no exception, and it seems that, as of late, there have been several different comedy movies that have made an impact. They realize that their friendship has been compromised and to get it back, they are taking a trip to Kodiak Valley Ski Resort, where they have very fond memories.
While they are there, they realize that things just simply are not what they used to be at all. They decide to take a dip in the hot tub, and next thing they know they are in a strangely familiar environment. It does not take them long to learn that they have traveled back to the eighties. Not only this, but they look like they did when they were in the eighties to everyone else.
The hilarity ensues when the group decides that for the sake of not messing up the future, they would have to relive everything that they had undergone back in the eighties on the trip they appear to be reliving. So this means different things for different characters. One will have to break up with his perfect girlfriend all over again, another will have to get beaten up, and another will have to cheat on his wife (even though technically he wasn't married then).
Winterfest '86 takes its toll on the characters, though, and they decide that maybe they can change things this time around. Through a little bit of dumb luck and chance, the group finds out a lot more about their lives, what could have been, and what they didn't even realize.
