Film remakes are nothing new to the world of Hollywood films. A man who is equipped with a four bladed hand and a burned up face is chasing them through their dreams. Most of them have come to terms that if they can't figure something out, then they are going to be dead like Dean.
Soon the body count begins to rise and no one seems to have an answer to how to stop the madman in their dreams with the knives. Through a little history lesson from their dreams coupled with a discovery made by Nancy coming out of one, both Quentin and Nancy decide to propose one final stand against a man that haunted them as children, and aims to kill them today.
The re-imagining had some familiar scenes, which made it parallel the original very nicely. It was much better in terms of computer generated effects, unlike what could have been produced back in 1984. Jackie Earle Haley, who has been featured in many films including the popular comic inspired film "The Watchmen" portrays the wicked Freddy Krueger, and giving the character a new spin and a terrifying new face in the process.
